A New-Generation Electric Vehicle
Feel the rush
Make your day-to-day simply amazing with the new Nissan LEAF. Feel the rush of instant acceleration from the 100% electric motor, while its suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility features give you a smarter, safer drive.
A Future of Greener Mobility
8 Year Battery Warranty
Every Nissan LEAF lithium-ion battery is covered by an 8 year/160,000km warranty (whichever occurs first) for additional peace of mind.
Charging the Nissan Leaf is Easy
Explore hassle-free charging at home or on the go, at over 780 charge stations nationwide.
he Nissan LEAF can be plugged into any standard 240V electrical socket. With a Type 2 charging unit installed, the LEAF can reach full charge in 7.5 hours, so you can charge overnight and start the day with a full 270km of range^.
On the Go
From regional highways to major shopping centres and office buildings, there are over 780 public charging stations across Australia. Many public charging stations offer CHAdeMO charging, a fast charging system that charges the LEAF’s battery from 20% to 80% in just 60 minutes.
^ Figures quoted are for a 40kWh battery. Time dependent on charging conditions, including charger type and condition, battery temperature as well as ambient temperature at point of use. Indicated rapid charging time requires use of a CHAdeMO rapid charger. The Nissan LEAF is designed to support the majority of journeys in daily life and is equipped with charging safeguards to protect the battery during repeated rapid charging sessions in a short period of time. The time taken for successive rapid charging can take longer if the battery temperature activates the battery safeguarding technology.

Indicative Driving Range+

How to get more range from every charge?
Speed, driving style, topography and weather conditions can affect battery performance. More speed uses more energy, so the faster you drive the more often you’ll have to charge. To maximise your range, try to keep your driving smooth and steady. Increase the time between charges with ECO Mode or B mode regenerative braking.
B Mode: Recover Braking Energy
Serious about maxing out your range? Activate B Mode. It delivers more regenerative braking, which charges the battery without compromising on driving power.
Choose ECO Mode to limit engine output and save energy. It slightly increases regenerative braking to boost your range, too. To get the most mileage out of your Nissan LEAF, use B mode and ECO mode at the same time.
+270km indicative range using new WLTP test procedure for European spec model. Australian model has not been tested using WLTP test procedure. 315km range tested to Australian NEDC ADR81/02 standard. Figures obtained after battery fully charged. Figures stated for purposes of comparison amongst vehicles tested to same technical procedures only. Actual real world driving range may vary depending on factors such as battery age and condition, driving style, traffic conditions, weather conditions, any accessories fitted and vehicle load.
Nissan Intelligent Mobility connects the LEAF to traffic, pedestrians and parking spaces, to help keep you out of trouble and make driving more fun. The Intelligent Around-View Monitor gives you a virtual, 360°-bird’s-eye view of your surrounds, so you don’t miss a thing.

Your Partner on the Road
Start and stop, simply.
Accelerate, brake and stop all in one pedal. By simply releasing the accelerator, the LEAF will come to a complete stop even on an incline and a decline.
No bumps km
Enjoy a smoother journey. Our system automatically applies brakes and adjusts engine torque to better balance your ride.
Hug the road
iHandle corners like never before with individual wheel braking that helps you turn smoothly.
Intelligent Cruise Control
Maintain a safe, adaptable speed with cruise control that responds to vehicles around you
If the unexpected happens, emergency brakes will be applied to prevent or minimise an accident.
This system gives you a visual and audible alert if it detects you're straying from your lane. And it’s so smart, it’s designed to stop the alerts when you engage your turn signal.
Lane-departure prevention systems operate only when the lane markings are clearly visible on the road. Speed limitations apply. The system is a driver’s aid only and should not be used as a substitute for safe driving practices. Always monitor your surroundings when driving.
Accelerate, brake and stop—all with one pedal. With the LEAF’s e-Pedal, just press down for an instant rush, and ease off to slow down. It’s a whole new way to drive that’s not only fun, but efficient. It can even add power back into the battery to help extend its range. Of course, your brake pedal is always there if you prefer to use it, or simply flip a switch to remain on regular two-pedal driving.
Our Vision for the future
Nissan’s vision of a more sustainable future starts with our zero tailpipe emission vehicles, but it goes further than that. Nissan is dedicated to harnessing conversations around sustainable energy, electric mobility and electric living. With initiatives that include a “Pay with Energy” Café, a partnership with Huffington Post, and a commitment to offering an EV variant for all ranges by 2022 — Nissan is actively working towards a more sustainable future.
